This stream of the conference is concerned with the kinds of individual psychologies and social identities that result from and sustain current economic and political structures. How, for example, do gender, race and class manifest in a supposedly egalitarian marketplace? What are the forms of pathology and 'mental health' made possible by a global economy characterized by demands for international competitiveness?
